Anna Sui for Target launches
The hotly-anticipated Anna Sui for Target line inspired by hit CW show “Gossip Girl” is hitting Target stores and online this weekend, but not without some drama. NYmag.com fashion blog The Cut reported that models playing extras were supposed to wear Sui’s Target designs, only to have Target execs pull out the cross-promotion at the last minute – purportedly due to the show’s racy nature. Regardless, the speculation has only fueled the excitement for the 19-look line, which is still officially said to be “inspired by” the show – namely its four female leads, the prim Blair, the edgy Serena, the boho Vanessa, and the punky Little J.
