Coco & Breezy go to New York
Back when identical twin style plates Coco and Breezy first walked the Voltage runway in 2008, it was clear the duo were onto big things. Since then, the twins (nĂ© Corianna and Brianna Dotson) have become fixtures of the local runways and street style blogs, and most recently the twins seemed to have found their niche with their blinged-out sunglasses line Gemela Amor (“twin love”).

Designer toy shop ROBOTlove celebrates the release of the new Dunny series during its monthly Dunny Trading Party. The latest lineup includes contributions from Tokyo design company Devilrobots and Japanese graphic designer Mori Chack, who adds a Dunny twist to his Gloomy Bear character.

Coal, ice and sod are not typical elements found in an art gallery, but then again, Andrea Miller isn’t your typical artist. The self-described “inner landscape” artist will incorporate these organic elements into her two-part performance art-meets-installation exhibition “How To Build An Igloo?”

Friday: Minnesota State Fair Seed Art at Foiled Again Salon
Though it’s hard to imagine a state fair without seed art, it turns out it’s a local phenomenon. Foiled Again Salon is hosting a best-of retrospective of the past 40 years of State Fair award-winning seed art. Subjects include everything from Spam to Bo Diddly to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Thursday: The weekly Project Runway viewing party is once again going down at Hell's Kitchen. The l'etoile-sponsored screening will be hosted by Kate Iverson and Beth Hammarlund of l'etoile, who will be doing fashion trivia before the show, with a screening of spin-off Models of the Runway to follow. Saturday: The annual Clapperclaw Festival at Intermedia Arts will feature local fashion designers Laura Fulk and Emilee Kuznar. Local t-shirt screen-printers Anthem Heart will be doing live screen printing of a limited-edition Clapperclaw tee, and you can bring your own shirt to get printed for as little as $5. The night will also feature the Minneapolis premiere of the DIY concert film "All Tomorrow's Parties," featuring concert footage from Sonic Youth, Animal Collective, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs among others. Saturday-Monday: Monthly flea market, the
Trader’s Market in Elko, is having its last rendition of the year. With 300-plus vendors, collectors and antique dealers claim to find some of their best vintage and antique finds of the year here. ($4. I-35 at County Road 2, exit 76, Elko. 952-461-2400.)

Thursday-Monday: If you plan on stopping by the northwest suburbs over the weekend, stop by the Albertville Premium Outlets for their Labor Day Sale. Monday: Arc's Value Village Thrift Stores are having a 50 percent off

[The limited edition Pony sneaker at Hot Topic]

Next Wednesday: Set for a September 9th release date, these limited edition Pony sneakers were created after the movie 9, also being released on 9/9/09. Like the "stitch punk" characters of the movie created by Tim Burton, the sneaker is made up of canvas and various other pieces stitched together. Only 99 pairs are being made, which will be distributed through an online sweepstakes by Hot Topic.

Through Sept. 8: Minneapolis-based Blu Dot is having its first-ever nationwide sales event. Now through September 8, everything in the design house's collection is marked 20% off.
