New York Fashion Week updates, pt 2

[Jen Hughes with Betsey Johnson backstage]

I interview local photographer Stephanie Colgan on her New York Fashion Week experience this year for l'etoile magazine. Here are more photos I posted of Stephanie's shots backstage at Derek Lam.

Coco & Breezy post images from their New York Fashion Week presentation featuring their new "wear-able art" accessories line.

Aveda styles Suno, Sophie Theallet, and Rodarte backstage at New York Fashion Week. Here is a backstage video of the action at Suno.

Aveda did a braid-bun hybrid for Sophie Theallet Spring 2011. Ebony Magazine and Goddess Huntress have beauty reports on the show.

Aveda says via their Facebook page, "The Rodarte hair look for this season is young and innocent. The body is full of natural-looking texture, the ends are straight, and a strong, swooping side part gives the hair a retro feel. The look is inspired by teenagers in the 1970's, so the effect is very organic, adorned with handcrafted barrettes that make a statement." The Orlando Sentinal and Goddess Huntress report on the beauty runway look. Aveda lead stylist Pearson Knight (who works at Juut downtown Minneapolis) says Rodarte is his "favorite show every season."

Teen Vogue goes backstage at John Patrick Organic to report on Aveda's beauty look. Kiss & Makeup goes backstage at Christian Siriano.

Local stylist Jen Hughes and others from Juut do Betsey Johnson at Fashion Week. Here are backstage photos.

Minneapolis native Kelsy Osterman (of Eclecticoiffeur) styles at shows for Odd Molly, Betsey Johnson, Graeme Armour, Daniel Vosovic, and Tory Burch. Click HERE for my photo-drenched recap.

Star Tribune's Sara Glassman reports on New York Fashion Week shows Marc Jacobs, Monique Lhuillier, the mini-trench trend, and the red accessories trend.

Local stylist and City Pages contributor Jane Belfry posts photos of Vision's Megan McNierney backstage and on the runway at Fashion Week. Jane also posts Megan's new lookbook for Tse and Vision model Mary Cann's New York Fashion Week casting video.
