With the impending, much-anticipated release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I'm so enthralled by anything that reminds me of that whimsical tale. Minneapolis' own legion of neo-Victorian designers have long counted Alice and her quirky posse as inspiration to their designs, which are often innocent with a dark edge.
Former Minneapolitan designer Megan Bishop of Apatico, who recently moved to the West Coast, has long been a part of the local neo-Victorian scene and continues to participate in local shows by the collaborative Libertine Asylum. She just posted images of some gorgeous hats she created, which are particularly Mad Hatter-esque. Here are some of my favorites:
