Just announced: Amanda Christine Pret-a-Porter F/W 2010 Show

Local designer Amanda Christine just sent out her press release for her upcoming runway show featuring her F/W 2010 collection, happening Thursday, August 26 at Nicollet Island Pavilion. In other Amanda Christine news, she just got picked up by a showroom in L.A. called Magnet and they will start representing her at L.A. Market starting Monday. She'll also be attending the prestigious POOL trade show with the showroom on August 17-19 in Las Vegas.

The Fall 2010 collection by Amanda Christine is inspired by the classical American beauty in a modern women's lifestyle. Soft draped silk dresses, structured ruffles, and flattering feminine pleating create a line of wearable dresses and separates for every occasion. For work, play, and everything in between, the collection provides comfortable and easy-to-wear clothing that will last from season to season. The color pallet ranges from fall florals in gold, forest, and wine, to black and white printed georgette and cotton solids in burgundy, black, and charcoal. Emphasis on the shoulder, like tiered sleeves, brass button epaulets, and delicate pleating, creates a strong look for an edgy, fashion forward woman.

Amanda Christine’s Pret-a-Porter Fall 2010 Fashion show will be held on August 26th at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis. The much anticipated runway event will be featuring a Parisian styled Fall 2010 ready-to-wear collection by Amanda Christine, a Cliche runway segment styled by Andrea Oseland, and a handbag line collaboration between KJurek Couture and Amanda Christine. The event will also feature a pop-up boutique by Cliche with many locally designed accessories and clothing. The styling for the Amanda Christine runway segment will be provided by Andrea Oseland and Alice Sydow of I've Got Your Style. Accessories will be provided by local vintage store Rewind in Northeast Minneapolis, and local designer-supporting boutique Cliche in Uptown Minneapolis. Models are provided by Vision and DJ by Ken Hannigan. Tickets will be available online through the amandachristinedesigns.com website as well as Cliche, Karma, and Parc Boutique.
