Fashion link roundup: Weekend edition

It's been a busy weekend in local fashion. Thursday saw the Vita.mn Poolside Fashion Show, which I styled for the fourth year running, and the "I Feel Love" fashion/art/music extravaganza was held Saturday night. Here are the recaps and photos that are up thus-far. Check back later this week for more.

City Pages has their review of the Vita.mn Poolside up, by style writer Hollie Mae Schultz. She calls it "a hit, despite the weather."

Vita.mn's annual swimwear issue is now online. Check out the spread shot by Carlos Gonzalez, styled by Alice Sydow, with hair and makeup by Charlie Brackney and Ashley Kilcher, respectively.

The Walker Art Center has a new self-interview posted by local knitwear designer Annie Larson. She's also recently added new items to her e-shop.

A traveling show featuring Minnesota native Judy Garland's dresses made its stop in town last weekend. Read more about it in this Star Tribune article.

Photographer Benjamin Fredrickson updates his ingeniously-named blog, Female Benjamin Fredrickson, turning his lens on his latest muses: fashionista Ines Kovacevic, his good friend Jenn, and his co-worker Mary.

America's Next Top Model runner-up Raina Hein has announced she has been signed to Wilhelmina Models. She'll start off in Miami, and likely travel to NYC, L.A., London or Berlin.

Hip hop starlet Trina wears Coco & Breezy shades in the outtakes from her Source Magazine cover story in the upcoming June/July issue (no word on whether these will appear in the print version). Ashanti also recently Tweeted a pic of herself in the shades at a party.

Local jewelry line Bionic Unicorn is now available at local design store ROBOTlove.

Fashion blog I'm Not Obsessed has a new interview with Aveda lead hairstylist Pearson Knight, who's lead hair with Aveda for Rodarte, Jason Wu, Ports 1961, and Leanne Marshall from Project Runway.

Studio mates and jewelry designers Emily Johnson, Britta Kauppila, Betty Jaeger, and Rita Van Allen are featured on the latest episode of MN Originals (viewable below).
