Editorial: Raina Hein for Harper's Bazaar Hong Kong

Minnesota native model Raina Hein shot to international fandom with her stint on America's Next Top Model a couple of years ago, moving to L.A., landing high-profile campaigns, and starring in a Bon Iver music video.

The model, represented locally by Ignite, also apparently been nabbing some pretty high-profile editorial work. I just stumbled across this gorgeous spread featuring Raina from a fall issue of Harper's Bazaar Hong Kong:

Since she appeared on America's Next Top Model cycle 14 and came in second, Minnesota native model Raina Hein has been the face of Dubai-based specialty store Symphony's campaign, appeared in Bon Iver's video for "Calgary," and found a nationwide fanbase. But she still is paying lip service to her hometown. Here she is on the cover of the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Mpls.St.Paul Weddings, on newstands now. After debuting her in their gorgeous Fall/Winter 2010 campaign, Dubai-based designer boutique Symphony has picked up Minnesota native model Raina Hein for a second run. The campaign has yet to be released, but they've given us a sneak peek into the making of their Fall/Winter 2011 campaign featuring the America's Next Top Model cycle 14 runner-up.

ANTM's Raina Hein stars in Bon Iver video

Today, Bon Iver released his music video for "Calgary," the lead-off single from his forthcoming (though leaked) album Bon Iver, Bon Iver - and it has some strong Minnesota connections. For one, it was directed by Dan Huiting, the lensman behind MPLS.TV's excellent concert footage and City of Music live music video series, along with his frequent cohort Andre Durand. For two, it stars Minnesota native and America's Next Top Model runner-up Raina Hein, whose star has shone brightly thanks to her brush with reality TV. The quasi-magical, darkly beautiful video references late '80s film (pick your reference point: The NeverEnding Story's swampland; Labyrinth's Pit of Eternal Stench; The Princess Bride's Fire Swamp). Rain Hein for Camelia Skikos

Represented locally by Ignite, Minneapolis model and America's Next Top Model runner-up Raina Hein has been prolific since her stint on the show. She's been keeping busy with L.A. and San Francisco-based work for the past few months, most recently as the lookbook model for up-and-coming San Francisco designer Camelia Skikos's F/W 2011 line. Raina Hein at Symphony grand opening in Dubai

Hometown model Raina Hein (of ANTM fame) signed autographs at the Symphony Style opening in Dubai yesterday. Hein - who is the face of the Dubai-based luxury department store's Fall 2010 campiagn, appeared alongside Christian Siriano, Whitney Port, Camilla Skovgaard, Rupert Sanderson and Erin Fetherston for the opening.

Lady Gaga was spotted at the Turf Club last night in St. Paul after her Xcel show - and peeps took photos in the photobooth with her to prove it, reports LOL/OMG! Perez Hilton picked up on the news. (Gaga was also spotted at CorePower Yoga yesterday.)

Stylist Jane Belfry is featured in the latest issue of METRO Magazine in their Self-Styled section. METRO fashion editor Mary O'Regan highlights fall trends in a spread in the issue as well. View the online version of the September issue of the magazine here.

Former ANTM contestant (and Minnesota-born model) Raina Hein has just wrapped her first international ad campaign, for new luxury multi-brand boutique Symphony, based in Dubai. The Fall/Winter ad campaign is so exquisite I couldn't help but post all the images, via Ignite Models' blog.

Raina Hein in PFT Couture

Local designer Pafoua Thao of PFT Couture has just released a new test shoot showcasing her designs (past and present) on America's Next Top Model runner-up Raina Hein.












The reason Raina nearly took home the grand prize is apparent - she is clearly workin' it. And Pafoua showcases not only her design skills (the glittery black one-sleeved mini dress is killer, as is the white tie-neck blouse), but also her ability as a stylist. I'm loving the heavy cuffs worn on one hand.
