Just announced: Fall MNfashion Week 2011

Fall MNfashion Week has just been announced to take place October 2 through 9. This fall, the week of fashion that spotlights local designers and boutiques will be an abbreviated version - a result of the MNfashion-produced "Shows" taking a season-long sabbatical in order to get in line with industry standards (i.e., designer lines for the upcoming season being shown a season ahead, allowing buyers have time to place orders).

In addition to the lack of major runway shows this fall, another change appears to be the registration process. Instead of a no-holds-barred opportunity for anyone to register an event for MNfashion Week, events will reviewed and accepted by committee vote, and limited events will be allowed per day. It's a step in the right direction - a more curatorial approach for what is an always-growing industry in the Twin Cities. Visit mnfashionweek.com/register for details.
