This past weekend, men's knitwear designer and Minnesota native
Kevin Kramp participated in the ITS (International Talent Support) competition in Italy. Our hometown boy did well, taking home ITS’ first €3,000 MODATECA award, endowed by Deanna Ferretti, whose factory has created knits for Kenzo, Yves Saint Laurent, and Maison Martin Margiela. (

recapped the show, saying that "Kevin Kramp turned knitwear into a way to present a collection of characters he encountered in his life, rather than just a fashion collection." Among judges for the competetion were Viktor & Rolf, Hilary Alexander, Antonio Berardi, Renzo Rosso and Mandi Lennard. Vogue UK also
reported the news, as did
The Daily Telegraph, which calls Kevin "one to watch."
