Local designer Amanda Christine has just released her Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook.
What the press release has to say:
"Minneapolis-based fashion label, Amanda Christine, is launching its new Fall and Winter 2011 line. The collection by Amanda Christine is inspired by the classical American beauty in a modern women's lifestyle. Reaching into her husband’s closet for inspiration, the new line takes cues from classic and modern menswear trends like sharply tailored collar shirts, dresses, and jackets and incorporates them into her elegant yet unusual cuts, sculptural structures and thoughtful draping to create new and strong-yet-feminine creations. Utilitarian and boyish prep designs mixed with 60’s Mod sensibility help create the understated sexy wardrobe perfect for any Bond girl assassin, or everyday girl looking to add a little bit of classic edge to her style."
It looks like miss Amanda Christine has certainly honed her talent of creating basics with a twist, and just enough of an edge. These pieces - while not reinventing the wheel - are impeccably chic and wearable. Theory, hire this girl as your lead designer immediately.
