Kevin Kramp featured in Belgium Elle, plus a new interview

The press coverage is still rolling in for local knitwear designer Kevin Kramp after his win at the high-profile design competition ITS# (International Talent Support) in Italy last month.

Elle's Belgium outpost featured this energetic image as well as a new runway video (Kevin's work begins at the 1:10 mark).

The Lisboa-based Zoot Magazine has a new interview with Kevin. Choice quotes:

"t was a pleasure to be here at ITS# since this competition is not just about innovation, but about high quality innovation. I was also very excited to watch my own runway show for the first time, as I was able to see the audience’s reaction, something I never did before."

"My collection moves from a series of people I encountered in my life. Some of them I met personally, others I’ve only briefly encountered, others I saw on a bus and I wished I had introduced myself to them and I never forgot the fact that I lost the opportunity to introduce myself and say hello to these beautiful strangers sitting across from me. Human relationships are the most important things in our lives and I think the nature and the quality of our human relationship symbolises what we are."

Coco & Breezy featured in Essence, WAD magazines

It's been awhile since I've posted about the prolific eyewear and accessory designing twins, Coco and Breezy. The Minnesota natives left the Twin Cities a couple of years ago at the fresh age of 18 and they've since gone on to get their bedazzled eyewear on the faces of Ashanti, Nicki Minaj, Ciara, Kelly Rowland and Kelly Osborne, which Essence Magazine says "set the tone for what seems to be a studded sunglasses craze."

Though they've been featured in its pages before, Essence Magazine has a new Q&A with the Minnesota native designers on their creative process, and what's to come next for them.

Paris-based WAD Magazine also spotlights Coco & Breezy's new "C&&B 4 Kids" collection. There's a super cute corresponding video:

A Q&A with Style-Architects' Christina-Holm Sandok

Christina-Holm Sandok of Style-Architects is featured in a new interview and pictorial in national blog the Glitter Guide. The former fashion editor of Twin Cities Luxury & Fashion magazine talks her latest endeavor, Style-Architects, which is basically a personal shopping service for everything from clothing to event planning, as well as her own personal style.

On her personal style: "Feminine, preppy and uncomplicated. I love mixing structured pants/shirts with ethereal blouses and a simple piece of my grandmother’s jewelry or my husband’s watch. I like to pair something a little too sweet and sugary with something more tailored – like a little sequin tank under a classic blazer with distressed skinny jeans. And somehow I have built a ridiculous collection of nautical Breton shirts. There is something so fresh and classic about throwing on a simple striped top with a sequin skirt or layering it under a girly dress."
