Coco & Breezy in Vogue Italia

Getting tired of hearing about Coco & Breezy? Well sorry, readers, the news on the eyewear-designing twins just keeps coming. This week it's their personal style that gets the spotlight in this feature on Vogue Italia's website, showing Fall 2011 runway looks that complement their unique style.

Vogue's Fiorella Ruth Kibongui says:

"It’s not easy to tell them apart, but they’re style is always recognizable. The twins, designers of the futuristic sunglasses BeyoncĂ© loves, confirm once again their street nature with two eclectic outfits for a New York event. They represent, in fact, that style free from catwalk rules, rich with cultural, underground and pop influences that has always been the inspiration for many designers. Bomber jackets, graphic prints, original details and non-conventional mixes thus move from the streets to the prĂȘt-a-porter." Couldn't have said it better myself. View the slideshow of looks here.

Kevin Kramp's Vogue Italy feature, plus a new video featuring his work

I realize this blog tends to focus a lot on Kevin Kramp, but it's hard not to get excited about all the impressive press coverage the Minnesota-based knitwear designer been getting lately, spurred on in part by his recent showing at the emerging designer showcase WHITE at Milan Fashion Week. Kramp's most noteworthy bit of press so far: a feature in the November 2011 print edition of Vogue Italia, regarded by some as the ultimate fashion publication.

A new fashion film featuring Kramp and the other five emerging design talents from WHITE was also featured in a new short film "Leanne," which was filmed during the WHITE Show in Milan:

Kevin Kramp featured in Vogue Italia's New Talents

Those international magazines can't seem to get enough of Kevin Kramp. The local men's knitwear designer has been all over European publications as of late, and now he's gotten some major exposure in fashion bible Vogue Italia. Its New Talents section of its website features an interview with the designer and slideshow of images, in which he reveals he has upcoming presentations in Paris and Singapore in June and September 2011.

I love his description of his personal style: “Frumpy and uninteresting with touches of sport, 1970’s-era geometric knits, and second-hand corporate promotional logoed garments from my father’s various work places.”

The busy designer is debuting his Fall 2011 collection in Minneapolis on April 14 as part of the MNfashion Week Shows; visit mnfashionweek.com for details and tickets.
