Another art event worth checking out is Archipelago: A community of drawings by Zach Pearl. A graphic designer, art director, and frequent Laura Fulk collaborator, Zach Pearl is lesser known for his hand-drawn imagery, but it's surprisingly organic while retaining Pearl's eye for design. He will be presenting his first solo show which he says express the experience of being an artist in that professional purgatory knonwn as the mid-20s. The Sunday afternoon opening will be followed by brunch. (Reception & brunch 12-4 p.m. Sun. Exhibition runs through Feb. 29. Free. Susan Hensel Gallery, 3441 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. 612-722-2324.
