Lookbook: Raul Osorio F/W 2011

I had the opportunity to help style the Fall/Winter 2011 capsule collection lookbook for local designer Raul Osorio this past weekend, outdoors in snowy Minnehaha Park. I styled the collection with jewelry from Stephanie Lake Design and a couple of Stephanie's own furs, as well as some bejeweled tights I stylized a while back.

Editorial: My cover spread for Minnesota Bride

I had the opportunity to style two of three covers and a spread within the Spring/Summer 2012 issue of local print glossy Minnesota Bride. Under the direction of the magazine's former editor Mary O'Regan (who recently relocated to Seattle), I styled looks that married bridal with a grunge/rocker feel - an unlikely combination, but I think it was a successful attempt. As an added bonus, I got to work with one of my favorite Twin Cities models, Vision Management Group's Ashlee Walker, who recently got signed by New York agency DNA.

"Carnival Chic": Photos from Vita.mn Vth Anniversary fashion shows

Last Friday, I styled two mini fashion shows for the Vita.mn Vth Anniversary Fashion Show. The event itself had a "carnival chic" theme, so taking a cue from that, I styled Vision models in circus and carnival-inspired looks using some of the Twin Cities top local designers including Danielle Everine, Joynoelle, Max Lohrbach, Ivan Idland, and Kevin Kramp, with Vita.mn honoree Emma Berg getting her own segment of looks. Accessories were provided by local designers Stephanie Lake Design (jewelry) and Ruby3 (hats), plus Lula Vintage Wear and Twin Cities Magic & Costume. Emcee Nadine DuBois of Lili's Burlesque wore a dress and bolero by local line Blasphemina's Closet.

Friday: Vita.mn Vth Anniversary Fashion Show

Vita.mn is celebrating five years of Twin Cities arts, fashion, music and food with its five-year anniversary bash this Friday at Epic Nightclub. I'll be styling a two-part "carnival chic" inspired fashion show featuring local designers Emma Berg, Danielle Everine, Max Lohrbach, Ivan Idland, Joynoelle, Ruby3, and Blasphemina's Closet, plus extras from Lula Vintage Wear and Twin Cities Magic & Costume, with hair and makeup by Jungle Red Salon and models from Vision Management Group.

Plus you can expect live music from the Hold Steady, Night Moves, No Bird Sing and a special guest, art curated by Emma Berg (pictured), and tunes from DJ Jake Rudh.
