Minneapolitans spotted in December's Glamour magazine

A couple of locals - fashion designer and curator Emma Berg and myself - were spotted in the December 2011 issue of Glamour magazine. It came as a surprise to all of us. It turns out the images are leftovers from a street style shoot Glamour did in Minneapolis last December. It's sort of funny to be calling our hairstyles current - I totally got over my Blair Waldorf phase long ago. But it's still pretty fun. Oh, and I just noticed Emma is wearing a hairpiece by local designer Anna Lee's line Ruby3 - way to represent local fashion

Glamour Minneapolis street style preview

METRO Magazine fashion editor Mary O'Regan was among the locals chosen for Glamour's Minneapolis street style spread, to be featured in their March 2011 issue. Mary received a preview of the image they're using (and unfortunately it's very tiny):

Glamour Mag calls for stylish Minnesotans

If you live in the Twin Cities, you know we definitely aren't as style-less as the coasts would assume. It seems Glamour Magazine has gotten the message - they're scheduling a photo shoot for a new street style spread in the magazine. A different city will be featured each month, with photos of locals and their fave restaurants, dive bars, and hangouts. Think you have great personal style and want to be included? Beauty Bets editor Elizabeth Dehn is organizing the local chapter; contact elizabeth@beautybets.com if you're interested.
