Friday: Glamorama at Orpheum Theatre
Three big-name musical acts, eight major fashion designers and about 40 models will descend on the Twin Cities this weekend for Macy's benefit fashion show, Glamorama. Now in its 21st year, the event is the biggest annual fashion production in Minneapolis, with a core production team of six that handles everything from selecting the clothing and choreography to lighting and set design.... Calling all Buffy The Vampire Slayer fans: A one-night-only screening of not one, but two, Joss Whedon flicks is happening this weekend at the Riverview Theater. The Buffy creator is using his cult following to his advantage, having organized screenings across the country to benefit his anti-violence charity Equality Now... (Click here for more.)

Miss Piggy Exhibit at Macy's Minneapolis
Miss Piggy - unsung heroine of style? Some of fashion's most celebrated designers seem to think so. Burberry, Prada, Lela Rose, Jason Wu, Louis Vuitton and Julien MacDonald all contributed Miss Piggy-inspired couture pieces for this exhibition. The retrospective will also include the fashions, drawings, photographs and more from the closet of the inimitable Miss Piggy. (1st floor. 700 Nicollet Mall, Mpls. 612-375-2200.)

Jewelry Trunk Show at June
Just got in more details about Thursday's jewelry trunk show at June: Local veteran stylist Gwen Leeds will be on hand to provide styling inspiration. There will also be 50 to 75 percent off all summer items, 20 percent off all other clothing for one night only, and pink champagne and cupcakes. Sneaker Pimps at First Avenue
The worlds largest touring sneaker hip-hop lifestyle exhibition, Sneaker Pimps features over 1500 pairs of rare, limited edition, vintage, celebrity signed, artists collaborated sneakers and a collection of sneaker inspired artwork, fashion and photography. Also on deck for the night: Live street art installations, live skateboarding demonstrations, and street basketball competitions. Neptunes-associated Virginia-based hip hop duo The Clipse perform with Minneapolis' own Muja Messiah and Parallax. (8 p.m. $20-25. 18-plus. 701 1st Av. N., Mpls. 612-332-1775.)

Eclectic Yard Sale at the IHOB house
Stylist extraordinaires Kelsy and Di of my styling group Eclecticoiffeur (and my best friends) are moving to NYC, and they aren't leaving without unloading a ton of impossibly cool stuff. Expect limited-edition Anthem Heart t-shirts, vintage necklaces, and no doubt, tons of salon-grade hair and skin products for dirt-cheap. (10 a.m.-6 p.m. 24th & Pleasant, Mpls.
