Identical twin models and fashion plates Coco & Breezy have added a new role to their resume: Sunglasses designers.

In other Coco & Breezy news, The Minneapoline street style blogger (and style photographer) Ellen Dahl revealed to me that she was recently contacted by Essence Magazine and the Times Magazine of London about publishing photos of the twins from her blog, and a request from to syndicate The Minneapoline on their blog. FRIDAY: Intersections: Where Art and Fashion Meet
The merging of fashion and art may seem like a novelty for most, but for a select few it’s a way of life. One of the few is noted fashion journalist Margot Siegel, whose personal art collection will be exhibited.

Ra’mon-Lawrence to appear on Project Runway
This week Lifetime network officially announced that former Minneapolis designer Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman is among the contestants to be featured on the long-delayed sixth season of "Project Runway."

The Art of Yo Gabba Gabba!
With two exhibitions under its belt, the new Pink Hobo has already cemented its status as the Twin Cities' geekiest art gallery. For its third public exhibition, Pink Hobo geeks out on the hippest children's TV show, "Yo Gabba Gabba!"

THURSDAY: Local designer Renee Larson hosts a jewelry trunk show featuring her latest vintage-inspired collection at

Hair salon Evolution Experience Hair Culture is hosting a fashion show at the Calhoun Beach Club, Swell Society. It will feature sporty swimwear from Hurley, Quiksilver, Nikita, Obey, Cal Surf and more. (7-10 p.m. $15-20. 2925 Dean Pkwy., Mpls.

Stationary and event planning shop Give My Regards To... hosts its annual Summer Sidewalk Sale as well as a trunk show by SBG Designs. SBG's jewelry maker-to-the-stars Sara Beth Goldfine will be in the house showcasing her limited-edition summer collection. (9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 7179 Washington Av. S., Edina. 952-941-3371.)

SATURDAY: Record collectors, take note: Hot Pants DJ Rambo Salinas and friends (including fellow record aficionados Ben Mena, King Otto, Dale Burback, and James Leonardo) will be selling a ton of vinyl, including hip-hop and 45s of all genres, lawn-sale style. It's the real deal, with most of it priced at $50-80. Vinyl listening players will be set up for easy listening. There will also be vintage clothes, bikes, boom boxes, and "a ton of weird VHS and cassette tapes." (9 a.m.-3 p.m. 3148 Columbus Av. S., Mpls.

SATURDAY: DIY! Shoestring Chic at Art & Architecture
Does your wallet have the Great Depression blues? Are you nostalgic for flour sack dresses? RetroRama designer Sarah Holm will ease your pain and show you the ropes of creating clothing out of found materials. SUNDAY: Barbette's Fete Nationale (aka Bastille Day) annual artist mart is one of the coolest of the year, showcasing one-of-a-kind poster prints and artisan-made goods. There will be various booths ranging from the Fringe Festival, free back massages, t-shirts, handmade jewelry and candles, face painting, etc. (4-10 p.m. 1600 W. Lake St., Mpls. 612-827-5710.)

NEXT THURSDAY: Chamber presents "Sanitarium" at the Bolt Underground
Inspired by sanitariums, sanatoriums and asylums from the late 1800s and early 1900s, this event will feature the latest in neo-Victorian nurse chic by local designers Blasphemina's Closet, Scoundrelle's Keep, and Apatico, plus music by Skittish, stripteasing by Midnight Muse Revue, and a photo room. Turn-of-the-century medical dress encouraged!
