On Saturday, I attended the grand opening for hairstylist Charlie Brackney's new South Minneapolis salon,
HAUS, and it was quite the decadent affair. Vision models dressed by salon curator
Emma Berg and styled by HAUS served desserts, and guests included jewelry designer
Stephanie Lake, Kate Iverson of
Permanent Art & Design Group and
l'etoile magazine (who put together the opening with Robyn Lewis and Permanent's Joe Belk), stylist and style writer
Jane Belfry, and filmmaker Elijah Chhum. The event, which doubled as a
Drew Peterson art opening, showcased the amazing custom interiors by local interior designer
Jonathan Gomez Whitney, who was recommended to the salon by Emma Berg (whose kitchen has been designed by Whitney). Mary O'Regan of
METRO Magazine was there and took some fantastic photos. Here is a sampling; click
