Kevin Kramp's Vogue Italy feature, plus a new video featuring his work

I realize this blog tends to focus a lot on Kevin Kramp, but it's hard not to get excited about all the impressive press coverage the Minnesota-based knitwear designer been getting lately, spurred on in part by his recent showing at the emerging designer showcase WHITE at Milan Fashion Week. Kramp's most noteworthy bit of press so far: a feature in the November 2011 print edition of Vogue Italia, regarded by some as the ultimate fashion publication.


A new fashion film featuring Kramp and the other five emerging design talents from WHITE was also featured in a new short film "Leanne," which was filmed during the WHITE Show in Milan:

Minnesota-based knitwear designer Kevin Kramp debuted his first collection of women's looks last month at the WHITE Trade Show during Milan Fashion Week, where he was presented as one of six emerging designers-to-watch. Yesterday, I posted a short video made during his time in Milan; today, photos from the same stunning shoot have been released. I especially love the knit headpieces, which Kramp tells me are actually his scarfs wrapped around the models' heads. Quite an ingenious piece of styling work.

Check out this stunning, short video featuring a woman's look by Minnesota-based knitwear designer Kevin Kramp, created for his presentation at last month's WHITE Trade Show during Milan Fashion Week. The ITS#TEN Modateca Award winner was one of six finalists exhibited during the showcase.

Kevin Kramp doing Milan Fashion Week

A rising star in the international fashion design world, Minnesota-based knitwear designer Kevin Kramp has announced he's returning to Milan Fashion Week next week. He's one of six emerging designers participating in WHITE Milan, an international exhibition of contemporary fashion. Among the WHITE Milan events running September 23 to 26, Kramp will be showing his Spring 2012 collection at the "Six Talents for WHITE" showcase in the sixteenth century Portinari Chapel inside the Sant'Eustorgio Basilica. In addition to his usual collection of innovative, oversized specialty men's knitwear in plush yarns, he'll be showcasing new mesh and nylon pieces as well as debuting his highly-anticipated line of women's knitwear.
