Maritza Ramirez' "Little Black Dress"

Up-and-coming Minneapolis photographer Amy Gee shoots local designer Maritza Ramirez' contribution to last fall's Little Black Dress event on friend and beauty blogger Kara Nesvig - and dare I say, the dress looks much better on her than the model in the show. The gown suits Kara's figure and old Hollywood look perfectly.

MNfashion Week preview: "Little Black Dress"

In anticipation of tonight's MNfashion Week event "Little Black Dress," the Star Tribune revealed sketches by some of the show's designers. Each of the event's 13 designers will be offering their take on the classic wardrobe staple as well as a new, non-LBD look in a runway show styled by HAUS Salon with Vision models. Here's a preview of what to expect from the likes of local favorites like Emma Berg, Danielle Everine, Amanda Christine, and George Moskal:
